February Newsletter

Dear Parents,

It's been so wonderful teaching your students. I know I'm very lucky to have had such great kids! Unfortunately, this my last month at Maple Bear and in Korea. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication. The last book of the semester is called Going to School. The students will learn about different children and their schools all around the world and will present a report on their own elementary school at the end of the month.

Last month, our students acquired the fundamental understanding of the three states of matter. This month, we will explore physical and chemical changes of matter through various hands-on investigations. Also, students will apply their knowledge and be aware of the usefulness and importance of physical science in their every day life.

In math, we'll be starting a new unit on Measurement. We'll be going over how to tell time, measure temperature, add and subtract money, and explain capacity in the form of liters, milliliters, kilograms, and grams. These are very important subjects to learn as they are used in every day life.
