October Newsletter

Hello Parents,

This month in ACI2, we will be introducing the students to new ideas and skills while revisiting and strengthening the ones they have learned in the past. Everyone seems to be settling in to their new routines, and we are already beginning to see some progress. Great job!
This month, we will reading a new ELA book, “Let’s Play Games Around the World”. This book provides lots of information about the different types of games played in different countries. It provides this information in an instructional format that encourages students to try the games for themselves! We are sure everyone will have a great time while learning!

In Science, we will be continuing our Thinking like a Scientist Unit.  This unit introduces many lessons about observations and research, which the students will be able to develop in the months ahead. The students have already done a wonderful job learning about their senses and learning skills, and we look forward to their continued success!

In Math, we'll be moving on to our new unit, Patterns in Addition and Subtraction. The students will learn to recognize patterns and use strategies to add and subtract 2 and 3-digit numbers. They will also go over the standard method for adding and subtracting as well.
